A deck of 55 playing cards (a regular set with three Jokers) where each card has additional markings to aid musicians in their writing process. Created by Andrew Huang with art by Emurse (Scott Kehres), cards can be drawn and used in a variety of ways to spark inspiration or give directions whenever you’re feeling stuck, or even to provide you with a starting point.

Nodding to Brian Eno’s famed Oblique Strategies, and an homage in title to John Cage’s work using the I Ching (“Book of Changes”) to create music from chance operations, The Book of Chances was conceived to also be able to provide more concrete musical input into your process. And, you can actually use it to play card games!
